How is every thing going. Hunting good this year.
Since i have been back from germany, I have been hunting every day that im off. And i never leave home with out three of the best decoys i have ever seen.
The mallard master pro, freed'n frenzy, and the best thing since sliced bread( Aviator 3d. )

No, salt water will destroy the inner motor unit. I would suggest the
Aviator 3D.

thanks for the quick reply. I used my mm yesterday and it worked fine. I am a handicapped hunter and have limited use of my right arm. I need to install an on off switch so I can install the batteries at home and only have to turn the switch on at the beginning of the hunt and at the end when I pack up. could you e mail me a schematic of the wiring so that I can interrupt the circuit between the battery power and the motor or the relay that creates the delay ?

OK David,
I do have a temporary soultion. On the delay timer there are 2 wires leading into the motor cavity. One red and one yellow. You can splice either (but only one) and apply a toggle switch, however it is temporary because the spalashing water will eventually cause the toggle to fail. It may last all season or just a few days. Toggle switches are not designed to operate in wet conditions, therefor they are not sealed. Well at least the ones that I know of.

I have a remote from a robo. if you do not sell a remote can you give me some advice on wiring my remote in to my mm pro. by the way, great product. saw it in action for the first time in Kentucky and decided I had to have one.

First of all, thanks for your patronage. The delay timer is a 2 second delay. It seems to be longer when it is not splashing water, because the wings continue to spin with no resistance. It is not adjustable. The 2 seconds has been very successful. As far as a remote, the MM Pro splashes so much water that a remote will become defective as the internal parts become damp. It will work for a short time, but it will fail. The idea of the design of the MM Pro is to turn it loose and let it work for you. This gives you time to call and kill ducks. If you are worried about working geese over it, you have had geese flare over Mojos. The MM Pro is not a Mojo. We have been very successful at working geese in on our decoys. There are 2 differences that allow this to happen. First difference is when the wings stop spinning it disappears and becomes another decoy. The geese do not focus on the constant spinning. The second thing is that it is not elevated on a pole. Geese have a depth perception that ducks do not have. When elevated, geese can see that a Mojo is not actually moving in flight, therefore it does not look real. The MM Pro, being on the water, does not give up this deception. The MM Pro has killed tens of thousands of ducks and geese across the nation. I recently purchased a Mallard Master Pro from MPW and have just used it for the first time. I really like the motion and the spinning/delay feature. However, I do have a question for you. Is it typical for it to be really noisy? Seems like the bearing/motor make a lot of noise when spinning. I just wanted to make sure I didn’t get a bad motor since none of my other spinners make that much noise.

Hey Mike
The Pro has gears inside the motor housing. The gears are necessary to get enough torque to propel it in the manner that you have seen and like so much. Lots of splashing and swimming. Other spinners do not have gears or that kind of motion, which allows them to operate a little quieter. To answer your question, it should not be abnormally loud. You will hear the gears the first few times of use it, but it will get quieter. I have been hunting over the Pro for 8 years and I have never had a duck flare from it. If you still feel that the gears are too loud, do two things. First, put fresh batteries in the Pro. Set it in the garage or outside, letting it run until it quits. You can repeat this procedure if you like. This will allow the gears to get a little wear. Secondly, on the side of the motor housing you will find a small hole above the wing shaft. Apply a few drops of oil and let it work in. In hand, you will hear the gears more than when it is in the water and splashing. If a duck gets close enough to hear it, he is well within shooting range.
