Using the feeding Hen, will give the “all is clear signal”, that will encourage him to close the distance. INSTRUCTIONS AND OPERATING TIPS
Basic Tips
Use alkaline batteries for best results
Remove batteries in storage or transport
Extend base feet for more stability. Fig. #1
When transporting turkey decoys, always fully conceal them for safety
Know your hunting area and be aware of other hunters
It is not recommended to use motion turkey decoys on public hunting ground
Motion can attract other hunters as well. Always use extreme caution
Operating Tips
The hollow tube (stake extender) slides over the wire coming out of the top of the motion base.
Motion Speed Control Knob - turn clockwise to increase motion Fig.#1
Push timer button once for 15 mins./ upto 8 times for 2 hours.
Push ON/OFF switch for continuous running.
Fig.#2 - For exaggerated feeding motion, place stake extender in small hole located 3 inches behind standard indention. This will put the beak of the hen closer to the ground and allow her to bob up and down.
Fig.#3 - For breeding action, place the motion base up thru the hole at the tail of the hen. It will set down over the base with the stake extender projecting up thru the back hole towards the hens tail. Next place the jake decoy over the stake extender. It will not reach the Standard Stake Indention, it will be loose in the cavity of the Jake. Put the Jake’s tail on the ground for stability. The motion of the stake will make the jake rock from side to side.
For greater motion, increase speed control or slightly bend the wire coming out of the motion base.
Using Your Strutt’n Thunder in the Breeding Position
Warning: Use extreme caution when using any motion turkey decoy. Be aware of other hunters in your area. It is recommended not to use them in public hunting areas. Be safe and have a successful hunt.
